If you are a new family to Douglas County School District and need to enroll your child(ren) into Rock Canyon High School, please go to Admissions. 

Required Enrollment Documents (Scanned copies in .pdf or .jpeg format):

1. Parent/Guardian Government Issued ID
2. Proof of Residency (one from the list below):

• Signed Lease Agreement
• Deed, Property Tax Notice or County Assessor Page
• Purchase Agreement
• Notarized Proof of Residency - a notarized letter from  the person you are living with AND a copy of their proof of residency
• Student(s) Birth Certificate
• Student(s) Immunization Record
• Student Transcript/Last Report Card

Upon notification of enrollment, an email will be sent from the Registrar to proceed with Course selection and scheduling.

Round Two of Open Enrollment for the 25-26 School Year will open soon.

The first round of DCSD Open Enrollment opens at 8:00am on November 3rd and closes on December 1st @ 4pm.  It is not first come first serve, as the first round of Open Enrollment is prioritized by District Policy preference points.  Refer to District Policies JCA/JFB and JCA/JFB-R for more detail. District policy states that any student shall be allowed to attend any school of their choice for which they are eligible on a space available basis, subject to district policy.

If you are open enrolled at a neighborhood school or attend a DCSD-Authorized Charter School, but would like to return to the neighborhood school associated with your address for the next school year (26/27), you must file an intent to return form by January 5, 2026 with Danielle Van Natta, Registrar.

If you miss this date, you must open enroll for a chance to return to your address assigned school, and enrollment is not guaranteed. Please note: If you are currently attending your address-assigned neighborhood school, there is nothing you need to do at this time if you wish to remain.

If you are moving within the district but would like your student to remain at Rock Canyon High School, you may do so by filing an "Intent to Remain" form, along with your new Proof of Residence with the Rock Canyon Registrar.

All of our school tours for the 25-26 school year are currently full. If you would like to have your name placed on a waitlist in case a spot opens up, or we are able to open more tour dates please fill out this FORM.

Please contact the Registrar (contact information below) for withdrawal forms. Records will not be forwarded without a parent-signed withdrawal form and a completed student withdrawal form.

• A parent/guardian must complete and sign the parent withdrawal form.
• On the last day of attendance, the student will take the student withdrawal form to his/her teachers to receive a withdrawal grade and the teacher's signatures.
• All textbooks and library books must be returned.
• Outstanding fees must be paid or cleared by the Bookkeeper.
• The student must turn in their school ID card, parking permit, and clean out his/her locker.

Upon completion of all steps, the student may obtain a copy of the withdrawal form, a transcript, and immunization record.

All Records requests for a student currently enrolled in a Douglas County School need to be requested from the school where the student is currently attending.

Request to Inspect and Review a Student Education Record - Release to Inspect & Review Former Student / Alumni / Education Verifications / Government Agencies - Ordering Process

In an effort to provide better and more secure service to our alumni and former students, all transcripts requests, records requests, background verifications, corporate verifications, corporate information requests and government agencies (this does not include Subpoenas), must be made online using our automated student record / information request system.
