If you are a new family to Douglas County School District and need to enroll your child(ren) into Rock Canyon High School, please go to Student Enrollment. 

Required Enrollment Documents (Scanned copies in .pdf or .jpeg format):

1. Parent/Guardian Government Issued ID
2. Proof of Residency (one from the list below):

• Signed Lease Agreement
• Deed, Property Tax Notice or County Assessor Page
• Purchase Agreement
• Notarized Proof of Residency - a notarized letter from  the person you are living with AND a copy of their proof of residency
• Student(s) Birth Certificate
• Student(s) Immunization Record
• Student Transcript/Last Report Card

Upon notification of enrollment, an email will be sent from the Registrar to proceed with Course selection and scheduling.

Round Two of Open Enrollment for the 25-26 School Year will open soon.

Second Round of Open Enrollment begins @ 8am January 22nd and closes @ 4pm on August 1st. If a student was put on the waitlist during the first round, they will still be on that list for the second round. Schools will ONLY reach out to families through email when and if a spot becomes available.

This "Intent to Return" form must be completed and submitted to the school no later than January 10, 2025 in order to return to the neighborhood school for the following year.

If you are moving within the district but would like your student to remain at Rock Canyon High School, you may do so by filing an "Intent to Remain" form, along with your new Proof of Residence with the Rock Canyon Registrar.

Please contact the Registrar (contact information below) for withdrawal forms. Records will not be forwarded without a parent-signed withdrawal form and a completed student withdrawal form.

• A parent/guardian must complete and sign the parent withdrawal form.
• On the last day of attendance, the student will take the student withdrawal form to his/her teachers to receive a withdrawal grade and the teacher's signatures.
• All textbooks and library books must be returned.
• Outstanding fees must be paid or cleared by the Bookkeeper.
• The student must turn in their school ID card, parking permit, and clean out his/her locker.

Upon completion of all steps, the student may obtain a copy of the withdrawal form, a transcript, and immunization record.

All Records requests for a student currently enrolled in a Douglas County School need to be requested from the school where the student is currently attending.

In an effort to provide better and more secure service to our alumni and former students, all transcripts requests, records requests, background verifications, corporate verifications, corporate information requests and government agencies (this does not include Subpoenas), must be made online using our automated student record / information request system.
