I am very excited to begin my 3rd year of teaching at Rock Canyon High School. As the head strength and conditioning coach, it is my goal to work with each athletic program at RCHS to help individual athletes perform at their highest level.
Hi! My name is Chrissie Marcilliat, and I am in my first year at Rock Canyon High School. Prior to the 2016-2017 school year, I resided in Gulf Breeze, Florida, where I was a high school Health and Physical Education teacher for seven years. In addition to my teaching career, I was a two-sport varsity coach for the Girl’s Volleyball and Girl’s Weightlifting team. My return to Colorado came in the late summer of 2015, and I couldn’t be happier to be back! I am an avid outdoors woman, and absolutely love exploring areas near and far. During any free time I can manage, you’ll likely find me on a local hiking trail with my two Shelties, Dex and Boo, or backpacking and camping. I am extremely excited to be a Jaguar, and look forward to an exceptional year!
I am very excited to have this opportunity of teaching and coaching at Rock Canyon H.S. This is my 23rd year in education (24th for coaching)- 15 years @ Saint Ignatius College Prep-Chicago; and 7 years @ Acres Green Elementary (DCSD). I have a master’s in science, a personal training college certificate, and many coaching licenses. To balance my busy professional career, I like to travel, spend time in the outdoors, and hang out with my daughter.
I am a Colorado native and went to high school just down the road at Douglas County High School. I took Athletic Training 1 and 2 at DCHS and became interested in athletic training and chose it for my major. After completing my undergraduate degree at Cedarville University in Ohio, I moved back home and started my graduate studies at University of Colorado Colorado Springs. In 2010, I became the Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at Rock Canyon. When I completed my Masters degree in 2012, I became the Head Athletic Trainer and began teaching Athletic Training 1 and Athletic Training 2. I love working with high school students and am proud to be a Jaguar!
