Peer Counseling

Please fill out THIS FORM OR swing by the counseling office and ask if a peer counselor is available. An RCHS counselor will review your responses and match you with a peer counselor OR reach out to your counselor if I feel they would be better suited to work with you.

Rock Canyon’s Peer Counseling class provides you with an opportunity to enrich relationships with everyone in your life. You will learn how to communicate more deeply and openly resulting in fostering more positive interactions. These valuable skills will be used again and again throughout your life--giving you real-life tools to succeed no matter what situation you find yourself experiencing. The class is a year-long commitment where you will be in the classroom semester 1 and working in the counseling office with students in semester 2. You will also be working on culture and climate initiatives throughout the entire school year. This class is ONLY offered to Juniors and Seniors.

Please complete the application by February 15, 2025. When registering for classes, put Peer Counseling as your 1st alternate. Once your application is received, you will be contacted for a brief interview by Ms. Carson or Ms. Casas.
