I grew up in Colorado and graduated from Cherry Creek High School. Leaving Colorado, I went to Creighton University in Omaha Nebraska and majored in Psychology and Pre-Med. In the year after I graduated I worked at a psychiatric hospital for adolescents and found my passion and talent for working with teens. In 1994 I moved back to Colorado and began my journey with teenagers as a science teacher and youth director. In 1998 I married my wife Allison and we decided to teach a year in South Africa. It was during this year that I also found my passion for high school education. Upon our return in 2001 I worked for a few years with at-risk high school drop outs while I worked on my Masters in Counseling through University of Northern Colorado. I received my degree and began working for Douglas County High School as a high school counselor in 2003 and decided to make a move to Rock Canyon High School in 2011. I love helping teens find their passion in life. I welcome students to make appointments with me at anytime that is needed. Outside of school my first priority is being an active father with my two sons and a loving husband to my wife. I love the outdoors and take every opportunity that I have to camp, hike, and mountain bike. I really do love my job and look forward to interacting with students every day.
