Rock Canyon High School offers 15 distinctive Honor Societies recognizing students who cultivate scholarship, leadership, service, character, skills and academic excellence.

Computer Science Honor Society

Recognizing those who have demonstrated interest, passion, and academic excellence in the subjects of computer science, programming, and other computer science disciplines.

Société Honoraire de Français

Société Honoraire de Français is an organization whose intent is to recognize high school students in the United States who have maintained excellent grades in a least three semesters of French language courses.

International Thespian Society

The International Thespian Society is an honor society for high school and middle school theatre students.  It is a division of the Educational Theatre Association.  Thespian troupes serve students in grades 9-12; Junior Thespian troupes serve students in grades 6-8.

Mu Alpha Theta

Mu Alpha Theta, the National High School and Two-Year College Mathematics Honor Society, was formed in 1957 at the University of Oklahoma. We are dedicated to inspiring a keen interest in mathematics, developing strong scholarship in the subject, and promoting the enjoyment of mathematics in high school and two-year college students. Currently, more than 124,000 students are Mu Alpha Theta members at more than 2,633 schools in the United States and in 23 foreign countries.

National Art Honor Society

The National Art Honor Society’s goal is to foster a creative community of honor students who are passionate about art and design.  The National Art Honor Society is an excellent platform for our school to honor those students with artistic recognition, developing leadership skills, college scholarships, and personal growth.

National Chinese Honor Society

The National Chinese Honor Society (NCHS) was established in 1993 to recognize those accomplished high school students who study Chinese as a world language.  NCHS is a scholastic organization that promotes and recognizes students who demonstrate citizenship, leadership, and community service. NCHS encourages its members to become life-long learners in order to gain a better understanding of Chinese language and culture, as well as to play an active role as a contributing global citizen.

The National English Honor Society (NEHS), founded and sponsored by Sigma Tau Delta, is for students who merit special note for past and current accomplishments in the field of English.  Benefits of affiliation include academic recognition, scholarship and award eligibility, and the opportunities for networking with others who share enthusiasm and accomplishment in the language arts.

The National National Speech and Debate Association's Honor Society recognizes middle school and high school students for participation in speech and debate activities.  Students earn distinction through speech and debate competition, as well as community service, public speaking, and leadership activities.

Science National Honor Society

Science National Honor Society is an academic nationwide society focused on science for high school students in the United States.  The society was established in 2000 in Texas and has expanded to over 277 schools in 33 states.

Tri-M Music Honor Society

The Tri-M Music Honor Society is the international music honor society for middle/junior high and high school students.  It is designed to recognize students for their academic and musical achievements, reward them for the accomplishments and service activities, and to inspire other students to excel at music and leadership.
