ACADEMIC AWARDS AND LETTERING

Academic Honors Designation
Academic honors are intended to be a celebration of academic achievement by all students who achieve scholastically. For transcripts purposes, the final student’s class ranking will be determined and submitted to college admission offices upon request of the student and parents. For graduation ceremonies, all students who fall within each of the honor categories listed below will be honored with the following designations determined by the cumulative GPA after completion of graduation requirements: highest academic honors (4.0 or above), high academic honors (3.99-3.75), and academic honors (3.74-3.5).

Honor Roll & Academic Lettering Criteria
Honor roll designations will be given for each completed school year, given in the fall of the following year, and categorized by highest academic honors, high honors, and honors status. A student is eligible for receiving an academic letter after completing two semesters in the same school year at RCHS.  An academic letter and pin/bar is awarded to a student that earns a 3.75 GPA or higher in both semesters of the same school year (based on the official RCHS grading system) and carries a full course load at RCHS.
